Atlas, Griff, Dr. and Vali return from an eventful trip to Porta Nova where they had been accosted by Headmaster Strix, thrown through time holes, shown past revelations about each other, and stood naked together at the edge of water. Now back at the Dwarven capital with the rest of the group they begin to realize that the Treaty may not be as easily completed at initially thought. Will they be able to fully doctor peace? Peace has been obtained between the warring Dwarf states and a treaty has been drafted to quell the fight between Hobgoblin and Dwarf. While the bureaucrats worked out the details of the treaty, Griff snuck into the Great Vault and had an encounter with A Golden Dragon who seemed to have the ability to manipulate time as well as knowledge on many subjects. Once completed with the treaty the party, intent on tracking down Griff, joins him within the Vault to speak with the Dragon. Has Griff's motives changed now that he has learned so much? Having been involved in combat with two warring dwarf factions and a surprise assassin hobgoblin the party tries to understand what the current situation is. Two dwarfs lie wounded being tended to by the healers of the party and Havoc stands over the corpse of Massacre the hobgoblin who attempted to slay him with a mighty longbow. Becoming lost in the blizzard that ravages the northern tundra the group crashes their ice skimmer into a slumbering Lind Worm. The worm enraged by their trespass attacks and the group scrapes by with Havoc becoming cursed in the progress, no longer immune to the effects of the cold. An old ally of Havoc's. Avalanche, finds them and offers aid in their diplomatic quest to the eastern dwarves. Will Havoc be cured of his curse? Will Vali safely return to the party? Will Atlas ever be truly sober? Deciding to stay in the Iron Glacier until the season of darkness passes the group begins to prepare to set north once more. In this time Taza and Victus are wed as Taza is pregnant. Doom has been coronation as King and is busy establishing himself within the ruins of government left by Carnage. After celebrations and preparations the day finally arrives and the party sets off to the Frozen Tundra with a built ice skimmer they will use to travel distances quickly.
